Duties /Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):

Job Summary:
The job holder will be responsible for completing the daily cycle counts to measure, monitor and ensure the accuracy of the inventory to support both operational and financial control. Conduct investigation into causes of variances and communicate corrective actions required to other areas of the business.
 
Main duties:
  • Complete daily cycle counts to a pre-determined plan
  • Investigate root causes of variances requiring corrective actions
  • Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure corrective actions are understood and completed
  • Monitor closure of above
  • Conduct investigation into the causes of negative stocks
  • Provide an inventory control service to Material Controllers and DCC
  • Calculate work in progress and the ability to complete an accurate stock cut off for a normal part
  • Accurately conduct a cycle count ensuring the correctness of the count
  • Understand scrap/reject system and its impact on Inventory
  • Identify any possible weaknesses in any process that affects inventory and recommend the required corrective actions
  • Identify and correct raw materials usage errors
  • Ensure the correct levels of investigation and sign off of any count result
  • Correctly assign root cause fixes to the business and monitor closure
  • Assist others in the cycle count team with the resolution of cycle count variances
  • Maintain and clear EC levels within inventory locations on a weekly basis
  • Assist with obsolete stock levels within the obsolete storage area
  • Action all re-stock sheets from manufacturing and SQA
  • Generate the negative stock report and identify and correct the cause of the stock inaccuracies
  • Assist in variance analysis of FYE stock takes
  • Assist in stock take preparations by correcting IFS Locations and maintaining accuracy

Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria):

Essential:
  • 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade A-C including Maths & English
  • Relevant experience within Manufacturing or Logistics
  • Good IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally
