Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
The Product teams are responsible for ensuring the voice of the market is reflected in the product creation & in-cycle management process for current and future carlines, the team manages the strategic whole life plan of each model and the launch and run-out process, product content and pricing.  The team are also responsible for the management and coordination of current and future product introductions including derivatives, options, accessories and exclusive functions, ensuring close communications with the Commercial Director, Head of Sales and Product Strategy Director.
Main duties include:
  • Support the Head of Product Marketing in the preparation of marketing input into programme gateways and cross functional meetings
  • Create, develop and maintain vehicle spec documents including OXO chart
  • Monitor market conditions to identify product and revenue opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to internal and external audience
  • Interface with other functions to provide support in the preparation of sales literature (brochure and POS) and check proof for accuracy, taking ownership of all technical data included within these documents
  • Support finance on pricing tasks
  • Launch management of existing and future models/product plans, globally across all markets in cooperation with all internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, engineering, after sales etc.)
  • Develop, prepare and communication of accessory product offerings, in conjunction with the after sales department.
  • Create and evaluate business cases for options on vehicles, work closely with the sales teams on option pick rates and feasibility over vehicle life-cycle
  • Prepare product definition documents in order for training dealers and internal sales staff.
  • Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis to assist in product planning, ensuring strategic decisions are made to continue the success of the company.
  • Essential Criteria: Educated to degree level (technical engineering / marketing /  business). Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in technical engineering / marketing / business
  • Experience in Product management and/or development
  • Numerate with a good grasp of  Microsoft (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • High degree if competitor / market awareness
  • Good level of analytical skills with attention to detail
