Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
 Job summary
  • Create and communicate to suppliers component requirements for all models produced at Lotus
  • Monitor & expedite those suppliers in accordance with production requirements whilst maintaining inventory levels
  • Ensuring adequate information interchange & interaction with other supply chain & production areas and optimising logistics routes/costs
Main duties
  • Update & maintain all relevant system requirements pertaining to the role and use those systems to create accurate supplier schedules
  • Ensure component requirements are correct and communicated to suppliers in a timely, professional manner
  • Understand and implement any MRP generated 'messages' and amend supplier schedules accordingly
  • Ensure inventory levels of components under individual control are in alignment with departmental objectives
  • Ensure adequate information interchange and interaction with other Supply Chain and Production areas
  • Undertake all job related activities in line with current policies and procedures
  • Ensure external logistics costs are optimised using normal transportation methods
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
Essential criteria
  • Educated to A Level/ Diploma standard and/or equivalent 
  • Proficient IT skills, competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of Supply Chain/Procurement ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict guide lines
  • CIPS qualification
  • IFS/SAP system knowledge
