Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
 The purpose of this role is to ensure that all plant, equipment & site facilities/services are operating at optimum performance by using preventative & reactive maintenance techniques. Drive the business forward, making improvements to processes and ensuring LLS & LLSA can support both Lotus & other 3rd party customer requirements, securing future growth and prosperity.
 
Main duties include:
  • Support Maintenance Engineer with all aspects of site services and maintenance for the Worcester site.
  • Support maintenance activities at Wellingborough site & cover for holidays/absence as & when required.
  • Generate & carry out TPM work orders using the Maintenance Management System.
  • PLC/HMI/robotic programming on a range of different equipment.
  • Modification of process parameters for machine/plant control systems.
  • Diagnosing & correcting faults on a range of plant, machinery & equipment across the sites.
  • Provide support to and work closely with other departments to ensure operational plant priorities are met.
  • Ensure highest standards of performance by monitoring facilities and operational processes.
  • Support periodic program software data backups.
  • Operate with safe and environmentally acceptable procedures to ensure legal compliance at all times. e.g. LOTO, ISO14001, COSHH,  Permit To Work etc.
  • Adhere to Lotus 5s expectations.
  • Raise Electronic Requisitions for parts/equipment/services required by Maintenance Dept.
  • Work with and coordinate contractors on site.
  • Identify areas for Continuous Improvement and carry out necessary actions with management approval.
  • Support new business programs under the guidance & direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
 
 
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
 Essential Criteria:
  • City & Guilds Cert / BTEC in Mechanical &/or Electrical Maintenance.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of electrical, electronic & mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Analytical, flexible, adaptable, able to prioritise. Good practical and technical skills.
  • Experience of working in automotive, manufacturing or engineering business.
  • Honest, trustworthy & able to communicate well with others. Must be a good team player, able to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
