Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
Lotus are in a stage of unprecedented growth with multiple projects being worked on by dedicated engineers, designers and manufacturing operations staff. Behind all this are a highly skilled and specialist team of Programme Managers and Project Coordinators, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and on-spec. We're looking for five Project Coordinators to help drive our projects forward, providing support to our Programme Managers working across exciting projects on our High Performance Sports Car, and 3rd party engineering projects.   
Day-to-day responsibilities include;
  • Project master schedule- Support the development of the programme plan and establish the project scheduling, action plan and tracking.
  • Project Investment/budget - Monitor the financial status of the project and generate the metrics for review at project meetings and senior reviews
  • Project quality management - Ensuring the NPDS or external clients gateways/milestones are followed and deliverable requirements are correctly recorded
  • Project organisational planning and reporting - Monitor and record project resource requirements vs actuals.  Provide the data for review at project meetings and senior management reviews.
  • Project performance report - Establish gateway deliverables with the Programme Manager and define key indicators.  Provide project status reporting to the project team and senior management and follow up / follow through of the action plan during the development period to correct any issues
  • Support the generation of external engineering proposals
  • Manage low risk and/or cost projects for external clients
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
Vocational/Academic Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or relevant management qualification
Professional/Specialised/ Technical Knowledge and Experience
  • Whole vehicle OEM experience or significant experience from automotive tier 1
  • Financial, purchasing and/or product marketing exposure

Previous Related Experience/Background
  • Experience in engineering or programme management of automotive components and systems.  Knowledge of purchasing and financial control is desirable.
