Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
Responsible for the Programme Management of New IT Infrastructure implementation for key business IT projects. Coordinating and integrating the activities and deliverables across the IT department and multiple functional suppliers, to meet the IT Programme objectives.
 
Main duties for the role include:
  • Establish and develop the programme approach; to include resource and cost management and amortisation strategy.
  • Plan and manage project resourcing, scheduling, action plans and tracking.
  • Keep the Programme and associated projects to time and budget and manage exceptions. Impact assess change against the agreed cost baseline. Seek new funding as required.
  • Ensure the defined milestones and 3rd party requested processes are followed and all deliverable requirements are met.
  • Establish and review the organisation chart, scope of works and resource planning.
  • Programme Status Reporting to the management team and the completion of the action plan during the project periods.
  • Interact and Liaison with a broad array of IT and Supplier resources to achieve cost effectiveness on project delivery.
  • Successfully solve complex technical issues
 
 
 
Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
Essential Criteria:
  • BSc degree or equivalent
  • Professional IT project management qualification
  • Experience in project/programme management
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team 
  •  
Desirable Criteria:
  • ITIL 2/3
  • Agile PM qualification or equivalent 
  • Knowledge of purchasing and financial control
