Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
Developing the vehicle charging system for our future products, this is a key role for a vehicle charging expert to shape the future of our Vehicle Charging Systems.
 
A key area of focus for Lotus' future projects, this function will form an integral part of our business, expertly applying knowledge in this area to our outstanding reputation in driver experience and car performance. 
 
With an exciting start-up environment, you'll join a fast growing team and lead on a variety of areas, including the design and implementation of vehicle charging systems and subsystems, system review and validation, and working closely with other function groups to ensure compatibility. 
 
You'll be seen as a technical expert in the Vehicle Charging Systems field, working with some of the best in the business on creating exciting products within the high performance sports car field.

Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)
  • A degree (2:1 or higher) in Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive Engineering or a similar field 
  • Expert understanding of power electronics, electric machine architectures, electrical peripherals
  • Strong knowledge of CAN/FlexRay/LIN Networks, wiring and diagnostic technologies
  • Proven track record of system/ component design and delivery within an automotive/ aerospace/ telecomms or similar engineering environment.
  • Experience of system/component delivery within an APQP/ SixSigma or similar framework 
You'll need to be articulate, team focused and driven. Team leadership skills are essential and you'll need excellent interpersonal skills.
